Tribute

My mom went home to be with Jesus [and my dad] on August 30th. My family, especially my mom, had been on quite a roller coaster ride this summer. However, by the time August came to a close, God had shown Himself faithful over and over. Personally, I had had some trouble trusting when I couldn’t see around the curve. [seems to have been a theme this year] God, however, made Himself known through His watchful hand, and peace for my mom, and for us, that could have come from no other.

I told her we’d miss her like crazy. And we will, I can tell.

Oh, of course we didn’t always see eye-to-eye, but the love for her was greater than words can express.

As seasons change, we adjust in order to move forward, carrying with us what we have gained from the previous.

I have always looked forward to the fall season, and in spite of the circumstances, this year is no different in that sense. I want to walk forward with love and laughter, an ambassador for Christ; and the hope of Heaven and seeing my beloved Mom & Dad (and the list goes on) again because of the sacrifice and acceptance of Jesus that we have been offered.

““Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
