ššPlanning is my favoriteā£ļøš
Often, it calms me to have a plan; however I have learned to plan with flexibility. Learning to let things go can also be calming.
Lately, Iāve been considering the verse in 2 Timothy that says basically that the spirit of fear is not from God; however, power is from Him; love is from Him…and also a sound mind or self-discipline, depending on the version youāre reading.
šSelf-DisciplineāIāve been working on that one. My planning is related. Iāve developed a monthly and weekly plan to better reach some of my goals. I have found that when I make plans, even if I let some of them go here and there, I usually still feel like Iām moving forward! Sometimes, I need to ārewriteā my plan and try something new, but thatās ok. You donāt always know if a plan will work for you until you try it.
A few things I need to remember in regards to my planning and goal-setting (and I hope you will, too):
1- Set realistic goals that donāt leave you feeling defeated.
2- If you made your list too long, focus on what you DID accomplish rather than what you didnāt. Add that leftover item to another dayāORāLeT IT Go!š
Progress is progress, no matter how small.
(…I always say!)
3- Plan days with NO plans! Have an unstructured day occasionally and see āwhere the wind blows youā. Sometimes, I accomplish more on those days than when my list is a mile (too) long.
4- If you feel strongly that you need to change your plans entirely for the day, embrace it. If God changes your plans, trust Him.
5-Pray for wisdom to recognize when self-discipline needs to push you {ME} to āstick to the plan!ā …and strength to do it!!š

āThis is why I remind you to fan into flames the spiritual gift God gave you when I laid my hands on you. For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.ā
2 Timothy 1:6-7 NLT
